Skydio 2 Gallery

Drone piloting usually takes time and practice to get right, but Skydio 2 aims to bypass that with some seriously clever autopilot. It's smaller and faster than its predecessor, and has a whole lot more onboard intelligence. As before, the key is using artificial intelligence to identify potential obstacles and fly around them.

Also new for the Skydio 2 are two accessories. There's a controller, that allows you to manually pilot the drone (with the object avoidance AI still keeping you safe from crashes), and a "Beacon" remote for easier tracking and positioning. Or, you can control it all from your phone, and leave Skydio 2 to do the hard work itself.

Better still is the price. Skydio 2 is half the price of its Skydio R1 predecessor, just $999. The Skydio Beacon will be $149, while the Skydio Controller will also be $149. Units from the first batch are expected to ship in time for the 2019 holidays.
