Samsung’s Galaxy S10 brings along a new set of wireless earbuds, the Samsung Galaxy Buds. New for 2019, the successor to the Gear IconX (2018) earbuds make a number of improvements over their predecessors. Most noticeable out of the box is the fact that the case is significantly smaller, taking up less room in your bag.
That’s despite Samsung adding in wireless charging. You can sit the Galaxy Buds’ case on top of your favorite Qi wireless charging pad and have the internal battery – and the earbuds themselves inside – charge up, rather than using the USB-C port on the back. Or, if you have a Galaxy S10 with Wireless PowerShare, you can even use the phone to charge up the Galaxy Buds.
As for battery life, Samsung quotes up to five hours of talktime or six hours of music. The case has another seven hours of charge. There are dual microphones for noise cancelation, and of course Bixby support.
