Range Rover might not be the first automaker you think of when someone says “luxury coupe” but the British SUV manufacturer wants to change that. It’s counting on the Range Rover SV Coupe to do it. Making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2018, the new two-door is in fact a full-size luxury SUV.
It’s a special edition, and only 999 will be sold worldwide. Hand-assembled at the automaker’s SVO Technical Center in the UK, it ditches the rear doors you’d usually find on the full-size Range Rover, and drops in a newly-tuned engine. That’s a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, with 557 HP and 516 lb-ft. of torque.
Range Rover says it’s enough for 0-60 mph in 5.0 seconds and a 165 mph top speed. Meanwhile you’re wrapped in semi-aniline leather, specially-tuned wood, and more.
