Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet Gallery

Take one cult SUV, add lashings of luxury and – for the first time ever – Mercedes-Maybach branding, and you have this odd beast. The Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet is off-roading for the person who can't be too far away from creature comforts. Under the hood there's a V12 biturbo engine, while at the back there's a large, folding soft-top.

Inside, Mercedes has transplanted the seats you'd usually find in the S-Class. That means massage, heating, and cooling; there are also heated and cooled cup holders. Twin 10-inch displays also cater to rear-seat passengers.

Despite the luxe-upgrade, the G 650 Landaulet still has its off-road chops. Beefy rubber, portal axels for 450 mm clearance, and 100-percent differential locks mean getting out of the swamp should be a lot easier than draining it. Only 99 examples will be made.
