LG’s G5 takes the core of a powerful Android 6.0 Marshmallow smartphone and gives it a jolt of modularity. As well as the removable battery and microSD expansion that Android power-users still demand, the bottom section slides off and can be replaced with alternative sections like a camera grip or a 32-bit audio DAC.
Meanwhile, a 360 camera – the LG CAM 360 – and a virtual reality headset – the LG 360 VR – can be connected for recording and viewing 360-degree content.
Inside, there’s a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of memory, and 32GB of storage, while twin cameras on the rear offer the choice of a regular or wide-angle 135-degree lens.
