Infiniti QX Inspiration Concept Gallery

Infiniti is getting aboard the electric train, and the QX Inspiration Concept gives us some idea of what that might look like. Revealed at the Detroit Auto Show 2019, the svelte crossover SUV ushers in Infiniti's newest design language. Straight lines lead to unexpected curves, with a big focus on how electrification can change the body style inside and out.

So, rather than a long hood, the cabin is pushed forward and the overhangs trimmed. Inside, with no big gas engine to accommodate, the QX Inspiration Concept can have a flat floor. It also gives Infiniti the opportunity to experiment with new designs and finishes.

Of course, this is just a show car, not a production model. Still, Infiniti says that key themes from the QX Inspiration Concept will be headed to the first all-electric production model it has in the pipeline. That's likely to use the same e-AWD drivetrain, with an electric motor for each axle, as this concept envisages.
