Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 take the computational photography talents of the P20 Pro and P20, and make them into the consummate all-rounders. Packing large OLED screens and handsome bodies – including the popular Twilight finish we saw on the P20 Pro – the new flagships debut Huawei’s Kirin 980 chipset and a renewed focus on Artificial Intelligence. That includes a pair of NPUs, or neural processing units.
They’re put to work in particular in the camera. There are three sensors on the rear, delivering regular, ultra-wide, and telephoto views. On the front, the Mate 20 Pro gets a new 3D camera array, which also delivers faster and more secure facial recognition.
As for the Watch GT and Band 3, they’re Huawei’s new wearables. The Watch GT puts GPS fintness tracking and new sports modes in a more traditional design, with a 1.39-inch AMOLED display and a 316L stainless steel casing. The Band 3 Pro, meanwhile, follows more of a fitness band design, though also gets integrated GPS tracking.
