Aston Martin might not be the first name you'd associate with an SUV, but then again you could have said the same about Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, and Bentley. The British automaker hasn't stopped preconceptions from it making its first ever SUV, therefore. That's the Aston Martin DBX, and it's headed for a full launch in late 2019.

As an Aston Martin, it means certain styling cues need to be there. The big, curvaceous grille for one thing, and the shapely haunches. However the automaker can't afford to stint on off-road talents, either, and so it's undertaking a comprehensive roadmap of testing in extreme conditions.

The result will be another entry to the luxe-truck category, following in the tire marks of SUVs like the Bentayga, Urus, and Cullinan. Pricing and specifications will be announced closer to the DBX's official debut in Q4 2019.
