2022 MINI Hardtop and Convertible Gallery

MINI is giving its Hardtop and Convertible models a revamp, with the 2022 model year bringing arguably the biggest aesthetic change we've seen in years. The front fascia and grille are reworked, with a body-color bumper strip rather than the old gloss black version. At the side, there are new wheel trims and scuttles, while the rear gets a new lower fascia. Tweaks to badging and door handles have been made, too.

LED headlamps and taillamps are standard now, with the former getting new elements to replace the old, optional foglamps. Inside, there's new upholstery along with an infotainment upgrade: an 8.8-inch touchscreen is standard now, as is digital driver instrumentation. Lane departure warnings are both new and standard, and there's the option of a heated steering wheel for the first time.

Unexpectedly, MINI is keeping many of its prices the same, particularly for its mid- and top-tier Signature and Iconic trims, which actually account for the bulk of sales. The entry-level Classic trim rises $500. As for the 2022 MINI Cooper SE electric version, that's actually staying at the same price as the MY21 car.
