2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz Gallery

Hyundai may not be the first automaker you'd associate with building a pickup, but then again the 2022 Santa Cruz is no ordinary truck. Think of it, in fact, as more akin to a crossover with a bed on the back, but even then, this is no ordinary bed either. With various lockable cubbies, it's clearly designed for someone who doesn't want to give up the secure storage of a regular SUV.

Two engines will be offered. Standard is a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder with an eight speed automatic, while a 2.5-liter turbo with an eight speed DCT is optional. AWD is available for both, and with the 2.5L Turbo and AWD the Santa Cruz can tow up to 5,000 pounds.

Outside, it's aggressively styled, despite being shorter than rivals like the Tacoma and Ridgeline. Inside, there's a familiar cabin design with optional dual 10-inch displays and more hidden storage under the rear bench. It'll go on sale in the US in the summer of 2021.
