2022 Ford Maverick Gallery

Ford promised something special when it rebooted the Maverick name, but this new pickup truck has an unusual target audience in mind. In fact, Ford is hoping to win over people who wouldn't typically consider a truck, wooing them with a standard hybrid engine and aggressive pricing. Things kick off at $19,995 (plus destination).

Outside, there are clear F-150 design cues, only on a smaller scale. A 4.5-foot box is standard, as is a SuperCrew cabin with four doors. Along with the hybrid engine, there'll be an optional 2.0-liter EcoBoost that adds an AWD option.

Inside, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will be standard. There'll be no shortage of storage, including a clever modular system, and Ford will be courting DIYers too. It plans to release the 3D printing CAD files for its cabin accessory mounting system, while the bed is prewired for lights and equipped with grooves and slots for a custom tie-down system.
