Hyundai’s Santa Fe is getting an upgrade, with the 2021 model year bringing bolder design and a new, upscale trim. The 2021 Santa Fe gets a bigger grille, more distinctive LED lighting, and up to 20-inch wheel options. There’s also a new Calligraphy trim, the flagship of the grades.
A new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine is standard, with a 2.5-liter turbo-four available. Both can be had with AWD or FWD. A hybrid Santa Fe uses a 1.6-liter gas engine with an electric motor and a starter-generator, with AWD as standard. Later in 2021 there’ll be a plug-in hybrid, too.
Inside, the cabin gets a tech upgrade, with a bigger display and options like a 3D instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and Nappa leather. A long list of active safety tech is standard, too. Expect it in dealerships by the end of 2020.
