2020 Subaru Legacy Gallery

The Subaru Legacy is now in its seventh generation, and for 2020 there's a new focus on active safety, cabin technology, and engine options. The 2020 Legacy gets bolder lines outside and a more luxurious interior, but the fundamentals are the same. All-wheel drive is standard, and there are BOXER engines under the hood.

The standard engine is a 2.5-liter with 182 hp and 176 lb-ft of torque, paired with a CVT. However Subaru is also offering the 2020 Legacy with a 2.4-liter turbocharged BOXER, with 260 hp and 277 lb-ft. It gets a manual mode on the CVT and steering wheel paddles, and cuts the 0-60 mph time from 8.4 seconds to 6.1 seconds.

Inside, there's a larger 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the higher trims, but all 2020 Legacy models get EyeSight active safety as standard. That now includes lane-keeping assistance to go with the adaptive cruise control. Subaru says the new sedan will arrive in dealerships this fall.
