2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC Gallery

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC isn't just the automaker's first all-electric car. It's also the start of the new EQ product and technology brand, which will be an umbrella for all of the automaker's most futuristic cars. That means "avant-garde" design for the outside, and an all-new electric drivetrain underneath.

Each axle gets a compact electric motor, for all-wheel drive. The front motor is optimized for efficiency, when the EQC is in the low to medium load range. The rear motor, meanwhile adds some sportiness.

Altogether, they're good for 402 horsepower and 564 lb-ft of torque. That means 0-60 mph in an estimated 4.9 seconds, and a range that's estimated at around 200 miles. Mercedes will confirm the final figures before the 2020 EQC goes on sale in the US in 2020.
