The 2020 Kia Telluride is the automaker’s latest family car, an SUV designed with American families in mind. A three-row SUV, it seats up to eight with an aesthetic a little more visually-interesting than the Kia Sedona minivan. That’s not to say it’s any less practical, though.
Seats that fold down easily, big doors and a wide trunk opening, and lots of cubby nooks inside betray the Telluride’s focus on usable space. There’s a high level of standard active safety technology, too, like smart cruise control and blind spot collision assistance. Options include upscale features like heated and ventilated seats for both the first and second rows.
A 3.8-liter V6 GDI engine is standard, with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Kia says it should deliver 291 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 262 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive will be optional.
