Ford raised some eyebrows when it dropped an EcoBoost engine under the hood of the Mustang, but now it's the turn of the turbocharged four-cylinder to get some extra grunt. The 2020 Ford Mustang EcoBoost High Performance Package takes the 2.3-liter engine and gives it a bigger turbo, a new die-cast alloy block and high-performance cylinder head, and a larger radiator. The result is an estimated 330 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque.

It'll work with remapped versions of both the 10-speed automatic and the 6-speed manual transmission, keeping purists happy. The Mustang GT donates its brakes, which the tuned EcoBoost fits to special 19-inch wheels. The GT Performance Package, meanwhile, shares its aero and other components.

For the 2020 Mustang in general, there are new paint finishes along with standard FordPass Connect. That allows for remote-unlocking and other features. SYNC 3 remains an option, adding improved voice recognition, 911 Assist, and two smart-charging USB ports.
