2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD Gallery

The 2020 Silverado HD has been officially announced, and Chevrolet's heavy duty truck has seen some big upgrades. On the outside, it's a more rugged, distinctive pickup. LED headlamps and taillamps are available, and the Crew Cab models are 5.2-inches longer in the wheelbase.

Two engines will be offered. The standard is a 6.2-liter V8 gas engine, with 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. It gets a six-speed automatic transmission.

Chevolet will also offer a 6.6-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel. That gets 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque, and is paired with a 10-speed Allison automatic transmission. It's rated for up to 35,500 pounds of towing capability.

Chevy has thrown in new trailering technology too, to make the most of the increase in capability. An "invisible trailer" feature virtually removes what's being towed for easier navigation, and there are a total of fifteen different views. Meanwhile an update to the myChevrolet app allows for remote control over compatible trailer features.
