"No compromise," Ram says of the 2019 Ram 1500, and take a look at the spec sheet and you can see why. The strongest Ram 1500 ever, it's nearly 225 pounds lighter but promises to be more durable and have greater rigidity than before. It also bumps up its maximum payload to 2,300 pounds and the maximum trailer tow to 12,750 pounds.

There's a new second-generation 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, and of course the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 you'd expect. Both use a mild hybrid system, with a 48V battery pack that helps with short-term torque assist and brake energy regeneration. A new electronic locking rear differential is now standard on the 4x4 Off-road Package and Rebel, which will be available options for all models.

Inside, there's now a fourth-generation Uconnect system, with a huge 12-inch touchscreen. Ram is also offering the most powerful audio system ever offered in a production pickup, a 19-speaker, 900W Harman Kardon setup with a 10-inch subwoofer. It'll go on sale later this year.
