2018 Volvo XC60 Gallery

Volvo's XC90 SUV relaunched the company as a major player in the luxury space, and now the 2018 XC60 is looking to do the same with the premium midsize segment. Launched today at the Geneva Motor Show 2017, it replaces the current, aging XC60, which has been around for nine years. In its place, there's an XC90-lite, which is no bad thing.

Under the hood there'll be a variety of powertrain options. Top of the line will be the T8 Twin Engine gas plug-in hybrid, with its 407 hp and 0-62 mph time of 5.3 seconds. However, it'll also get the gas-powered T5, good for 254 HP, and T6, with 320 HP courtesy of both turbocharging and supercharging. A pair of diesel engines have been confirmed too, though whether they'll reach the US remains to be seen.

Inside, there's Volvo's Sensus infotainment system, along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A CleanZone four-zone A/C system promises to filter out pollutants and other particulates from the air outside. The 2018 XC60 will go into production this April.
