Of all the vehicles associated with Jeep, the Wrangler is probably the most conspicuous. Important, therefore, that FCA get any new model right, something it looks to have achieved with the 2018 Jeep Wrangler. It was unveiled this week at the LA Auto Show 2017.
From the outside, the styling is classic Wrangler. Beefy wheels dressed in oversized arches; squared-off body panels; and iconic round headlamps. The beefy feel continues inside, too.
However there’s no shortage of technology, not to mention off-road ability. That includes Command-Trac and Rock-Trac 4×4 systems, new Dana axles, a new Selec-Trac full-time two-speed transfer case, Tru-Lock electric front- and rear-axle lockers, Trac-Lok limited-slip differential, and the option of 33-inch off-road tires.
