2018 Ford F-150 Gallery

Ford's F-150 truck caused waves in its latest generation what with its aluminum construction, but sales have stayed strong and now the refresh for 2018 has been revealed. Debuting at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2017 today, the 2018 F-150 gets a redesigned front and rear, along with new engine options. According to Ford, the intention is to bring greater clarity between the different trim levels.

That also means more technology on offer. There's now the option of adaptive cruise control – with stop-and-go support – as well as Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection. F-150 buyers will be able to add a 4G LTE modem and WiFi hotspot for up to ten wirelessly-connected devices, together with a B&O PLAY audio system. A new Blind Spot Information System can take into account the length of a trailer of up to 33 feet behind the truck.

As for engines, the entry-level is now 3.3-liters, and there are 2.7- and 3.5-liter EcoBoost options. The 5.0-liter V8 has more power and torque, along with a new 10-speed transmission. Finally, the US is getting a diesel F-150, a 3.0-liter Power Stroke designed in-house by Ford.
