2017 Cadillac CT6 Platinum AWD Gallery

Cadillac is in the process of reinventing itself as the new pinnacle of American luxury, and the 2017 CT6 is emblematic of that reboot. In Platinum AWD form it's priced to compete with a high-end E-Class or 5 Series, with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine, rear-wheel steering, and lashings of technology. It's actually larger than both its German rivals, too, but curb weight stays low thanks to plenty of aluminum.

Inside, there's technology galore. Cadillac's CUE system gets a 10-inch touchscreen to play on, and there are pop-up displays for the rear seat entertainment, massage seats, night-vision, a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot, HDMI input, and a 34 speaker custom Bose audio system. 0-60 mph comes in 5.0 seconds.

In short, it's a sports sedan masquerading as a luxury four-door. While you won't get the same performance as the CTS-V, it's one of the punchier luxury cars out there, carving out its own space in-between the E-Class and S-Class categories. Don't expect to see many of them on the road, but don't be surprised if those behind the wheel have a smile on their face.
