2017 Audi S3 Gallery

Audi's S3 may be the smallest of the company's s-line sports sedans, but after a mid-cycle refresh it's still punching above its weight. Now tweaked to follow in the tire-prints of the A4's design, the 2017 S3 gets an interior update too, with Audi's Virtual Cockpit and new Super Sports seats.

The 2.0-liter engine still musters 292 HP and 280 lb-ft of torque, but it's now linked to an updated quattro all-wheel drive system. Borrowed from the new TT and TTS, it pushes more power to the rear and – in Dynamic drive mode – won't cut rear power if it's sensing oversteer, for some tail-out fun.

There's more heat on the horizon, mind. Audi has already confirmed it's working on an RS3 sedan, and that's going to be a real powerhouse. A 2.5-liter five cylinder engine will be good for 400 HP.
