Guinness World Records Puts Five Titles Up For Grabs This Thursday
I'm sad to say that I did not grow up during the golden years of the arcade. The last arcade in my hometown closed its doors when I was no older that 8 or 9, which meant I only found arcade games at local pizza joints. Of course this was the mid-90's, so I was playing games like Final Fight and Off Road, rather than classics like Pac Man. (We did have Pole Position, which even in the mid-90's was an awesome game). That being said, there's no way I could hope to break any world records for games like Ms. Pac Man or Donky Kong.
If you're the best of the best when it comes to classic arcade games and want your name down with the greats, you might wand to find your way to Brooklyn this Thursday. Why you ask? Because Guinness World Records will be hosting a competition for five titles. Hit the jump for the list.
Seeing those titles listed makes me feel very young. Sure, I've spent some time playing Donkey Kong and Ms. Pac Man, but I can't say that I've ever even seen an arcade unit for these games.
