Google Stadia Pro free games for February 2020 revealed

As with Microsoft and Sony before it, Google offers free games to its Stadia Pro subscribers. These games are free to 'claim,' which is a bit different than games that are purchased — you must, of course, remain a Stadia Pro subscribers in order to retain access to these games. The free January 2020 titles are still available to download, but now we also know what to expect for next month.

In February 2020, Google Stadia Pro subscribers will be able to download Metro Exodus and Gylt, the latter of which is a lesser-known indie adventure game from Tequila Works. These will follow the currently offered Rise of the Tomb Raider and Thumper games that are offered as free to claim until January 31.

Google Stadia Pro costs $10 per month; it enables players to stream games in 4K resolution with 5.1 surround sound. New customers can get the Stadia wireless controller and the Chromecast ultra as part of the 'Stadia Premiere Edition' bundle for $129 USD. It is also possible to access Stadia on other devices like smartphones.

Though Stadia was somewhat criticized at launch for its lackluster game lineup, Google has expanded the library with a notable array of titles, including many well-known offerings like Borderlands 3, Baldur's Gate, Darksiders Genesis, DOOM Eternal, Final Fantasy XV, Mortal Kombat 11, NBA 2K20, Red Dead Redemption II, The Elder Scrolls, and more.

Existing Stadia Pro subscribers can claim the free monthly games by opening the Stadia app, then tapping the Store icon. Down at the bottom where it says 'Stadia Pro games,' choose 'See all,' then tap the games that are available to claim; you'll be able to distinguish them from the rest because of their 'Free' tag. The game will be added to your library.
