We first laid hands on the Nexus Player back in November of last year when we reviewed the device. It's a round large puck-like device connects to your TV and marks the debut of Android TV. The device is designed to sit atop your TV and stream all sorts of digital content that you know and love to your big screen.

While we already know all the details on the device, the thing we didn't know was exactly when the Nexus Player would hit retail locations for purchase in the UK. That mystery has now been solved with Amazon UK listing the Nexus Player with a release date of March 26. The Nexus Player is already available in the US, Canada, and Japan.

If you missed our review of the device, it is rather simple on the connectivity front with HDMI and microUSB ports. The HDMI cable isn't included and we found some cables with thick connectors wouldn't fit.

The Nexus Player has Bluetooth connectivity for the remote control, which means you can tuck the player away behind doors and still use the remote without issues. An optional Bluetooth game controller available for $39.99 and the Nexus Player itself sells for $99. If you want to read the whole Nexus Player review, check it out here.
