Google Home Hub smart display leak reveals October 22 availability date

Google is expected to launch a smart display product called Google Home Hub at its event on October 9th. Ahead of that comes a new leak showing a catalog with multiple Google products, one of which is the smart display. Assuming the document is legit, it would seem Google is planning to release its device on October 22, leaving less than a month of waiting.READ: Google Home Hub leaked: The new do-all screen

The alleged Google Home Hub first leaked last month, the report claiming that it'll be a smart display with Google Assistant, far field microphones, and a 7-inch display. The model is set to compete with Amazon's newly unveiled Echo Show 2018 device, which the company revealed at its own recent event.

A new tweet published by Jon Prosser includes multiple images of a UK holiday catalog featuring new Google products. One of those products is the Google Home Hub, which includes an image of the device and the phrase, "Available October 22." The product description is relatively simple, mentioning Voice Match, the ability to control smart home products, and hands-free use.

The catalog doesn't include a price. Also listed in the leak is the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, both of which are shown with introductory offers that include six free months of Apple Music, oddly enough. The document is said to show the phones for the network EE and Apple Music is a perk through that carrier.

The slim details provided in the leak match what has previously been stated about Google Home Hub, though the October 22 availability date is new. The device will reportedly be available in charcoal and "Chalk" color options.
