Goal Zero Switch 10 powers your gadgets in the wild

Going Camping to unwind, relax, and get away from everything in the city; your job, your everyday surroundings, the people you see on a daily basis, used to mean taking only the essentials with you. Well, nowadays, it has become extremely difficult for most people to even consider being away from their digital appendages for even a day, and most people break out in cold sweat at the thought of running out of battery power on their phones, tablets, or other gadgets. Luckily, Goal Zero has just the comfort blanket for those people, in the shape of the Goal Zero Switch 10 Multi-Tool Kit.

Not just a phone charger, but also a flashlight, personal cooling device, and solar charger. With this little gizmo, you can charge your POV Cameras, along with many other devices through their USB Ports. While it (probably) won’t charge a laptop, it seems a fairly useful piece of gear to take with you if you just can’t leave your gadgets at home during the next outdoor adventure.

The Multi Tool even includes a rugged, 7 Watt Solar Panel to charge your gadgets and the multi tool anywhere you find yourself in the great outdoors. For those extra-hot summer days, the company has included a fan attachment to help you cool off a bit in the summer heat outside. One of the most useful things to take with you while camping, is of course a flashlight, so a tip for that is included as well.

The Goal Zero Switch 10 may not quite be as useful as the Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver, but it would still be a handy device to have with you on your next trip nonetheless. Now the only thing to worry about is getting cell-phone coverage in the wild.

At $119.95 it’s along the lines of a decent-sized external battery, though of course with the ability to recharge before you make it back to the grid.
