Fujitsu RH77/X and WR1/X tablets are 12.5-inch 2-in-1 tablets

Fujitsu has rolled out a pair of new tablets that are aiming directly at the users out there who might be thinking about picking up a Microsoft Surface Pro. The new machines include the Fujitsu RH77/X and WR1/X tablets. Both of these tablets are similar and have 12.5-inch screens.

Screen resolution for the pair is 1920 x 1080 and both run Intel Core i5-6200U processors and support digital pen input. Other hardware features include 4GB of RAM, up to 256GB of solid state storage, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, microSD card slots, and USB 3.0 ports.

Power comes from a 34Wh battery and the machines have mini DisplayPort outputs for second displays. Each of the tablets comes with a keyboard that attaches to the tablet section magnetically. The digital pen is pressure sensitive and each tablet weighs right at two pounds.

Without the keyboard attached the tablets are 0.4-inches thick and with the keyboard, they are only slightly thicker at 0.6-inches. Both weigh about 2.8 pounds. It's unclear exactly what the difference between the two tablets is at this point. Fujitsu announced both devices in Japan and it's unclear now when or if the tablets will be offered in other markets.
