There are always reasons to look for devices that provide green power. Among those reasons are because green power is good for the environment, but there are times when green power like solar power is the only way to get juice to your gadgets. Eton has announced a new green-power device for emergency preparedness called the Scorpion.

The Scorpion is a multifunction device that has tons of features for the outdoors and emergency situations. It has a built-in FM tuner, NOAA Weather Band radio, LED flashlight, a solar panel, and a USB cell phone crank charger.

The case of the Scorpion is IPX-4 splash proof and it has a rugged exterior to withstand the outdoors and elements. The Scorpion comes in green or orange trim and is available now for $50. The device has a battery charge indicator and measures 5.25″ x 2.5″ x 1.75″ and weighs in at 8.5 ounces.
