A few days ago, we mentioned that rumors were going around that Apple and Tesla had held talks. Rumors pointed to the talks being a harbinger of Apple possible buying Tesla. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has never been one to mince words, and he didn't this time.

Musk has confirmed that he talked with Apple. Musk says that Apple making cars would be a "great idea" and went on to confirm that talks between him and Apple took place. While Musk admits his company "had talks" with Apple, he wouldn't say whether those talks had to do with Apple buying the automaker.

When Musk was asked if Tesla was for sale he said that was "very unlikely." Musk also took the opportunity to add in a bit more disappointment for fans looking forward to the Model X SUV from Tesla.

We mentioned in March of last year that the Model X had been delayed until late 2014. Musk said that the Model X is now delayed until 2015. Musk said that the delay was due at least in part to him being a "perfectionist" and he said he isn't completely happy with the Model X now.
