Double Helix studio next-gen shooter game details emerge

The first grumblings of a new game from Killer Instinct studio started to make the rounds a few weeks back when concept art for a new game leaked. That concept art was created by James Paick, the guy who did the artwork for the game The Last of Us. After that art leaked no details of the game were offered by the artist or the game studio, Double Helix.

More details on the game have surfaced after a LinkedIn Profile was found for a person named Allen Will, who is the senior VFX Artist at DoubleHelix. The LinkedIn profile says that Will is working on a game that is a Strider reboot and a “Unannounced Action Shooter.”

The profile tips that the unannounced shooter is for PC and next-gen consoles. Will is responsible for guiding the visual direction with the directors of the game and providing visual documentation and concepts.

His profile also says that he will be developing high quality textures and particles for effects like smoke, energy, and lots more. This is certainly a tenuous link to the leaked concept art, but that art was so cool that we can hope it will go along with some shooter game play.
