Digital Entertainer HD EVA8000 can play iTunes music

We all know by now that Apple is working with EMI to release DRM-free songs, but what about all of those other tracks that can only be played on your iPod? Well thanks to NetGear, your iPod isn't the only thing that can play your music from the iTunes store.

It has just been confirmed that NetGear's Digital Entertainer HD EVA8000 will in fact play such songs. There's only one catch, this only works with songs stored on a PC, not a Mac.

Why would Apple allow NetGear to do this? Chances are that they didn't. Perhaps they found some loophole that will let them get away with it. We'll keep you posted as we find out more.
