Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 convertible launched alongside updated XPS 15

Dell's sleek XPS 13 has been reborn as a 2-in-1 convertible, a model with a 13-inch InfinityEdge display that is, according to Dell, 'virtually borderless.' The company goes on to claim its XPS 13 is the smallest thirteen inch convertible notebook in the world, making it a notable addition to the XPS family. This is joined by the updated XPS 15.

As far as the XPS updates go, the XPS 13 convertible is the most exciting of the bunch, promising a high-clarity display with a QHD+ resolution. This display is joined by a 360-degree hinge for rotating the display to various angles. The model also promises a very high run time of up to 15 hours per charge.

The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 can be had with up to a seventh-generation Intel Core processor alongside Dell BIOS and unspecified 'manageability software.' The model has a fan-less design that guarantees quiet operation, unlike some slim laptops. The Dell website shows up to 16GB memory options, Intel HD Graphics, and a 256GB SSD.

Other features, per the Dell website's current listing, include a 720p widescreen webcam with integrate dual array microphones, 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth, and stereo speakers with Waves MaxxAudio Pro tuning. There's also a 4-cell battery.

In addition to the new XPS 13 2-in-1 convertible, the XPS 15 has been updated with better hardware — you can get up to the 7th-generation Intel Core processors and NVIDIA Pascal architecture. There's the 15.6-inch display, a fingerprint reader, and support for Windows Hello logins sans password.
