Deadpool and Logan soundtracks are heading to vinyl (at Comic-Con)

Fox Home Entertainment plans to create special vinyl versions of five of its movies, all of them notable and including things like 'Deadpool' and 'Logan.' These vinyl releases will feature fancy cover art, but there's a big catch: you can only buy one if you go to Comic-Con, since they'll only be available to purchase through Fox's Fanfare booth.

Fox plans to make these special vinyl soundtrack releases for the following movies:

- Deadpool

- Kingsman: The Secret Service

- Logan

- Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

- Rise of the Planet of the Apes

These vinyl releases will be exclusive to the San Diego Comic-Con event, which itself starts later this month. You'll be able to buy these vinyl editions from July 20 to July 23 from the aforementioned Fox Fanfare booth #4229. Unfortunately, there's no word on how much these special editions will cost, nor how limited the quantity of them may be.

Demand for vinyl has been rising for years and has resulted in an increasing number of vinyl releases, many of them for video game soundtracks (see the timeline below for links). In fact, demand is so high that Sony recently revealed that it has resumed creating vinyl records for the first time since 1989. It is anticipated that vinyl record sales will exceed the $1b mark by the end of 2017.
