COD: Ghosts Devastation DLC PC, PS4 Release May 8th
One month after the Xbox One release of Call of Duty: Ghosts' Devastation DLC arrival, this downloadable content pack will be arriving for the PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3. Those users with a Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Season Pack are allowed to use the Ripper 2-in-1 weapon immediately, while all maps and alien gameplay must wait.
Inside the content pack released this month for Xbox One and next month for PS3, PS4, and PC, you'll find four new maps alongside Extinction. In classic modes of multiplayer play you'll find Ruins, Collision, Behemoth, and Unearthed.
Unearthed is a "reimagined" version of the map "Dome" from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Collision is the interior and exterior of a cargo ship that's crashed into a New York City bridge. It's cramped and you're going to want to have some quick-draw skills without a doubt.
In Behemoth you're shooting your enemies from on top of an excavation platform in South Africa. This map is made for long-range weapons, mostly, while some areas allow for ideal cramped-shot gameplay as well.
Finally there's Ruins – here you're running through a multi-level Mayan temple with just as much of a mix of long and short-shot opportunities as the big B. Here you'll find a Field Order that allows you to transform into the Predator.
While we've never seen the beast in gameplay yet, we're certain he's there. Brandishing wrist blades and his unique shoulder-mounted plasma cannon, he's also equipped with enemy tracking the likes of which will be extremely difficult to deal with on the receiving end.
Above you're seeing the Devastation expansion to Extinction. In this mode of gameplay, you and a set of your best buddies go up against the alien hoards. Here you're rolling in an abandoned Chinese research ship where you're dropping the drill, cutting through doors, constructing weapons, and running up against a 400-foot tall Cryptid alien: the Kracken.
The new weapon for this expansion is the Ripper, making for excellent close and long-range shooting with medium to short-range fire and an SMG transformation. Again, this weapon is available immediately while the rest will have to wait for May.
This episode will cost users $14.99 on its own or can be had with the $49.99 USD Season Pass, this including all four DLC packs at once – once they're out, that is.
