Cellular South announced that they will be offering the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 with 3G network access on their own carrier. This subsidized netbook measures in at 10.1-inches and would offer wide-range coverage for subscribers. This is very similar to what AT&T is offering.
This carrier is CDMA and will use EVDO for access rather than HSPA. The netbook itself is one we’re all very familiar with. It has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, a 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, a GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G.
Other features include Windows XP and a multi-touch trackpad. Weighing in at only 2.6-pounds, this netbook is light enough to bring with you anywhere. You can get it now from Cellular South for $199 so long as you sign up for a two-year contract. Two plans are available, with 500MB and 5GB at $40 and $60/month, respectively.
