Canon Revealed Twelve Megapixel Digital Rebel XSi EOS 450D

Canon has unveiled a new entry level Digital SLR, the twelve megpapixel EOS 450D aka Digital Rebel XSi to replace previous model. The new rebel is now powered by DIGIC III image processor with enhanced 14-bit A/D conversion. It also has number of new features like improved autofocus sensor, 3.5 fps continuous shooting, highlight tone priority, larger viewfinder, SD/SDHC storage, sport metering, higher capacity battery, and Live View function on a bigger 3-inch LCD display.

The new body is not longer supports Compactflash and video capture options. The bigger viewfinder now displays ISO value, and higher capacity battery is says to increase up to 500 more shots than previous model. The new Digic III image processor improves start-up time to 0.1s and can handle up to 6/53 (Raw/JPEG) using continuous shooting mood at 3fps. The dust handling department is covers with 3 ways EOS integrated cleaning system. An optional newly designed battery grip BG-E5 is also announced.

The new 450D will be released in April with the cost of $799 for the body only, or $899 for the kit package with Canon's 18-55mm IS lens.
