If you often tote a camera around with your laptop or other gear, you know the hassles that can arise — you have to make sure everything you need not only fits, but fits safely, and though there are camera compartments available that can be put inside existing backpacks, they're not always the best fit. Enter Brevite, a backpack designed specifically for photographers looking to carry around their camera, lenses, laptop, and other gear, all the while retaining an attractive design.
Brevite was created by a trio of brothers in Boston, with the goal being a camera backpack that is stylish and can also function as an every day backpack. The result is Brevite, a modestly designed photography bag made mostly of nylon with a wicking back and ability to hold up to 20lbs of gear.
There's a removable camera compartment (the bright green part), as well as a tripod holder on the side and bottom, hip belt and sternum strap to help distribute the weight, a raincover, bottle holder, sunglasses loop, and conveniently located lens cap buckle.
Brevite's makers are looking to fund the project via Kickstarter, where they're looking to raise $30,000 USD — so far nearly half of that has been raised and there are 26 days remaining in the campaign. The backpack can be had with a pledge of $155 USD, which is a discount over the eventual retail price of $180 USD. Shipping will start in August for those backers.
