Automatic now offers granular web-based car stats

Automatic users are no strangers to fawning over data. The plug-in dongle provides enough info about your driving habits to make you at least want to be a better driver, if not fully commit to being one. That info is about to get a lot more granular, though, as Automatic rolls out some new features meant to give you a better understanding of your functional driving habits.

Automatic is rolling in a very robust web portal, which they call "a new destination for consumers to explore the data behind the drives they're taking with Automatic." You'll get info on individual trips, and have the ability to parse the info in views that make sense to you.

Automatic will let you see your individual drives in a list map, graph, or both (simultaneously, too). Even better, you can isolate certain times of the day, which allows you to find out how much tat drive to work might be costing you. Maybe it really is faster and better to take the train to and from work.

With Automatic's new web feature, you'll also get the ability to create an expense report based on your drive info, and export to a .CSV file. If you're serious about getting the nitty-gritty details on your drive stats, this is a great way to do so.
