Audi R8 V10 Decennium celebrates ten years of V10 power

Audi has announced a special edition of the venerable R8 sports car called the Audi R8 Decennium. The car is an homage to the success of the V10 engine for Audi and is a limited edition. Audi plans to build only 222 units globally.

The R8 V10 Decennium has bronze-colored highlights inside and out and comes only as a coupe. Buyers can opt for a unique body color for the special car called Daytona Gray, matt effect. The 20-inch wheels and intake manifold of the V10 engine are finished in matt bronze.

Side blades and the mirror housings are carbon fiber. If the matte gray paint isn't your cup of tea, the car comes in Daytona Gray, pearl effect; Suzuka Gray, metallic; Floret Silver, metallic; Mythos Black, metallic; Ascari Blue, metallic and Kemora Gray, metallic.

Inside the car, the interior is all black and inlaid with gloss carbon fiber highlights. A rhombus pattern is quilted onto the seats, and lots of Alcantara is used inside including on the steering wheel and selector lever. The Decennium edition has a logo on the center console, the doors, and a logo projector when the doors are open.

Power is from a naturally aspirated 5.2 FSI V10 engine that makes 620 hp and 427.8 lb-ft of torque. Audi says the car can run 0-62.1 mph in 3.1 seconds and has a top seed of over 205 mph. The car goes on sale in spring and will cost 222,000 EUR in Germany.
