Audi A4 Ultra sport is the limited-edition farewell to the manual

Audi fans who also like to shift their own gears were undoubtedly sad when Audi announced that the manual transmission was dead in the US starting with 2019 models. Audi is at least going to give the manual transmission a fitting send-off with a very limited-edition car only offered with a manual dubbed the A4 Ultra sport. It's only offered with a manual.

There are only 40 of these cars being made, the last 40 of the A4 being built. Audi says that the Ultra sport package means the appearance of the A4 will be as sporty as the appearance of the S4. All 40 of the cars are identically built.

This means they all have Premium Plus specifications with the advanced key, SiriusXM, driver memory, front/rear parking sensors, B&O 3D sounds, LED headlights, Audi side assist, power folding and auto-dimming side mirrors, and Audi virtual cockpit/navigation. The Ultra sport package tacks on another $6,800 and includes a laundry list of additional features.

Some of the main features include a flat bottom steering wheel, sport adaptive suspension, sport front seats, S line leather, and special 19-inch wheels and performance tires. All the cars also have RS carbon inlays from the RS 4 Avant and a special quantum gray color.

This is the first item the color has been offered on the A4. All 40 of the units are in the US right now and if you want one you better order soon. The images here are all renderings, unfortunately. We would love some real images of the car.
