Apple has revealed its latest Back to School promotion, a deal it offers every summer for college students and faculty who are looking for a new laptop or tablet. This year, in addition to its usual student perks, Apple is offering various Beats headphones for free, assuming the customer purchases a new Mac computer or an iPad Pro.
Apple’s Education Store website went down earlier today with a “We’ll be back” message, indicating the company was updating it with its latest Back to School promotion. It has since returned, revealing the promo: free Beats headphones in exchange for your purchases.
College students who purchase a Mac desktop or MacBook laptop will receive a free pair of Beats Solo3 Wireless headphones. You must be enrolled in college to qualify for the deal, which is also available for college faculty and teachers.
Already have a Mac? Apple is also offering a deal for iPad Pro purchases — you’ll get a free pair of Powerbeats3 Wireless earbuds, which retail for about $110 USD. These eligible buyers — either Mac or iPad Pro — can also get Apple Care for 20-percent off the regular price.
Apple also indicates there’s an Apple Pencil discount, though it’s currently shown with its regular $89 price. This is in addition to the educational pricing on the Mac and iPad Pro products. The free Beats promotion is available until September 25.
