Age of Conan hits the 1 million mark

In a WoW-dominated world, it's tough for new MMOs to really take off. FunCom doesn't seem too worried, as Age of Conan is well on its way to becoming one of the larger games out there. Not long ago we told you that they had reached 400,000 subscribers, and now they've reached another milestone.

One million games sold is certainly something to be proud of, especially when you have so many WoW addicts out there (guilty as charged). Granted, this is only one million copies of the game sold, and not necessarily the number of people that will be continuing on past the free month of play.

It's really tough to compare the launch of this title to other MMOs such as WoW, since it was released in Europe and North America at almost the same time. I recall WoW surpassing the 1.5 million mark in around 4 months, but there was a 2 month gap of time where it was only sold in the US, after which it was released in Korea, and a month later in Europe. In all, I'd say that FunCom is off to an awesome start.
