A-Space is FBI, CIA social network

It seems it's not just high school and college students and budding entrepreneurs getting in on the social networking thing. No, the CIA, FBI and Secret Service, along with other government agencies will soon have access to A-Space–a sort of classified MySpace/Facebook site.

A-Space will launch on September 22 on the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System. Anyone with access will be able to get at information of high classification levels. All sorts of data will be included in the database including info from the State Department, the National Security Agency and the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Even more data will be added by January and agents will be able to create profiles of themselves in order to interact on the network. They'll even be able to post comments to one another. I wonder if inter-department bands will clog operatives' inboxes with friend requests?
