A Dead or Alive MMO on the way?

Some games just shouldn't be made into MMO's, and yet somehow, they do. Yes, Final Fantasy was great online, Warcraft has done quite well in the MMO realm, but how well could the Dead or Alive franchise do online?

Well, we'll get to find out soon enough. Shanda Interactive Entertainment has announced that they will release Dead or Alive Online in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao sometime next year. It wasn't explicitly stated that the game would be an MMO, but it will be some form of an online game for the PC.

They are hoping to launch the game before the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, which begin in August of next year. Though they said that the title will be coming to the rest of the world, they did not specify when we could see a US launch.
