5 epic new movie trailers to start your day

This morning we're diving in on a set of movie trailers that'll blow your socks right off of your feet. These movies are all set to come out in the next several months. A couple of them are coming out in the month of December, just in time for holiday break – or just before it. Either way, here's Star Wars: Rogue One, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ghost in the Shell, The LEGO Batman Movie,

First we've got Rogue One: A Star Wars Story "Trust", one of the several trailers that've been released for the movie thus far. At this point you MIGHT want to turn back if you're not all about spoilers. Like The Force Awakens, we're fairly sure Lucasfilm isn't revealing anything past the first half-hour or so of the film, but you never know.

Next is the most giggle-worthy few minutes ever dropped in a comic action adventure title in the history of the genre. This is the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Teaser Trailer. Inside is a look at Rocket and Groot and a tiny remote control, which Groot wants to touch to blow up a bomb. He's not supposed to, but he probably will.

Then there's the Mummy, which I personally do not recommend seeing because Tom Cruise is a representative of a cult called Scientology. Just pretend Tom Cruise is not in the movie and we'll be good. Maybe release a version with #nocruise? Cross your fingers for the impossible.

The next trailer is a few weeks old at this point but lots and lots of people missed it when it was first released. This is the Ghost in the Shell Official Trailer number one. Here we've got a live-action translation of one of the most massively popular Anime films of all time. It has a lot – a LOT – of expectations to live up to.

A film some "adults" might not be all that pumped up about right off the bat is The LEGO Batman Movie. But if this movie is half as good as The LEGO Movie was (where this Batman was born), it's going to be well worth the cash for Batman fans of all ages. I personally am excited about the possibility of a new collection of alternate costumes for LEGO Batman in the real world – but we'll see!

Finally, here's a monstrosity disguised as a visual masterpiece. If you're feeling decent about a lack of cohesiveness in a universe in exchange for mega-epic eye-searing blasts of fire, and metal, and smoke... then this is your film. Transformers: The Last Knight will be released at some point in 2017.

Star Wars: Rogue One will be released in theaters on December 16th 2016. Guardians of the Galaxy is set for a May 5th, 2017 theater release, while The Mummy will be coming out on the 9th of June, 2017. The LEGO Batman Movie will be released on February 10th, 2017, and Transformers Last Knight will be out on June 23rd, 2017.
