Lexus has announced a new limited edition sports car that is called the 2020 IS F Sport Blackline Special Edition. The special model is offered on both the rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions of the IS 350 F Sport and the IS 300 F Sport RWD and AWD. The special run is limited to 900 units.
The Blackline Special Edition has split-spoke wheels with a black vapor chrome finish. The wheels will complement a black chrome front grille surround and black exterior mirrors. The IS F Sport Blackline Special Edition comes in Obsidian, Ultra White, and Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0.
The darkened theme carries over to the inside of the car with black and gray seats accented with Indigo Blue stitching. The blue stitching is found on the knee pads, dash, and door trim. The heated wood steering wheel has Indigo Blue accents on door switch panels and the glove box.
Both versions of the car come with triple-beam LED headlights, a navigation system, and a blind-spot monitor. For 2020 the special edition comes with SmartAccess card key that fits in a wallet. RWD versions of the IS 300 uses a 2.0L turbo-four making 241 hp with an 8-speed automatic.
The special edition version of the IS 300 has a 3.5L V6 making 260hp and a six-speed automatic. Both RWD and AWD IS 350 F Sport models use a 3.5L V6 making 311hp paired with an 8-speed automatic on the RWD and a 6-speed automatic on the AWD version. Both of those transmissions offer paddle shifters. Pricing starts at $45,200 for the IS 300 and goes up to $50,985 for the AWD IS 350 F Sport.
