2019 Mercedes-Benz E Class family gains E 450 flavors

Mercedes-Benz has officially announced the 2019 E Class family of cars. The range includes 4Matic versions, coupe, sedan, and wagon models. New for 2019 in the E class are E 450 models including standard and 4Matic versions of those rides. E 450 models get more powerful engines and the entire line will land this fall at dealers in the US.

The E 450 and E 450 4Matic models get an updated 3.0L V6 biturbo engine that makes 362hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. The E 450 and E 450 4Matic will replace the E400 and E 400 4Matic cars offered previously. Mercedes promises the E series will have a new dimension in driver assistance and safety systems.

There are some new features inside and out for the 2019-year model including a 3-spoke Nappa Leather multifunction steering wheel. That wheel lets the driver control all safety assistance systems without removing hands from the wheel. Mercedes hasn't gone into detail about the safety systems

Two new trim options are offered with matching center consoles. Mercedes doesn't specify what those new trim options are. Buyers can also opt for 19-inch AMG wheels with the Night Package and a Rear Safety Package is available on the E-Class Sedan.

The base E300 and E300 4Matic models use a 2.0L inline turbo four that makes 241hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. Pricing on the range is unannounced. That E Series wagon is quite the looker.
