2018 Nissan Kicks starts at $17,990

Nissan has announced the pricing details for the latest crossover to be added to the line called the Kicks. Pricing for the Kicks S will start at $17,990. Kicks will go on sale this spring at Nissan dealers around the country slipping into the line with the Rogue and Rogue Sport.

Nissan will offer the Kicks in three front wheel drive models including the Kicks S, Kicks SV, and Kicks SR. Each will use the same 1.6L 4-cylinder engine that makes 125hp and 115 lb-ft of torque. The transmission for all modes is the Nissan Xtronic unit.

Kicks is rated for fuel economy of 33 mpg combined. That Kicks S will start at $17,990, Kicks SV will start at $19,690, and Kicks SR will start at $20,290. On the outside, the Kicks models have some of the same style features as Nissan's other vehicles with the V-motion grille, boomerang headlights and taillights, and a floating roof.

Available options include Intelligent Auto Headlights and LED low beams. Seven exterior colors will be offered along with five two-tone combinations. Two-tone colors will have a black roof and contrasting body colors like white, orange, and red. A version with an orange roof and grey body and white roof and blue body will be offered.

Kicks has a futuristic design and lots of tech inside. Nissan promises ample passenger space in the rear seats and one of the largest load areas in the class. Nissan also fits the car with automatic emergency braking on all grades, seven airbags, and a rear camera. SV and SR models get blind spot warning and rear cross traffic alert.
